TPC Turbo Install Dubai

Hi All,

Owner of a 987 cayman S Sport (Tiptronic)

I've been pondering around this idea for a while now to install the stage 2 TPC and just cant seem to find a garage that gives me the confidence to go ahead with it.

I've spoken with the one other guy who had an install here and he had nothing but trouble (not TPC's fault) He actually told me not to bother with the install and save my money lol. I also out of interest contacted the garage who done the work, surely as they had experience next time around should have been a cake walk. He almost died on the phone and quoted me a 5 week time frame to do the work, also never returned my call with a price (talk about interested lol)

Another member here recommended Alex Renner motors, Which ive contacted today and told that they will not install any aftermarket kits except the ones they like. (Kept trying to sell me their products)

TPC doesnt have any recommendations so I'm hoping one of you guys do ?

my friend has alot of work done on his Corvette z06 at dynoking, they are a bit of a Chev specialist but im wondering do i need a porsche specific group of guys ? The kit seems fairly easy to install except the mods required due to the car being Tiptronic.

Thanks for any suggestions and thoughts !

Mark

Hi Mark, have you tried JAS Motors at Al Quoz? I get my services done there and have never had any trouble. The 2 service managers are ex Al Nabooda and are Porsche qualified.

I used to go to ARM as they do a good job, but are a bit far out in DIP. And yes, they are particular about customers bringing in their own parts. I once asked for a quote for a clutch/flywheel job but it was moot as they wouldn't install the parts I'd sourced from the states (all OEM too).

I haven't. Ill be sure to give them a call this week to see their thoughts / opinions on it.

I'm actually tempted to just hire a garage / car lift and install it myself, sure it will take longer but will be done right lol.

Thanks

Another place that may be worth checking out is House Of Cars service centre in Al Quoz behind the VW stealership on SZR. They specialise in Porsche and BMW but have all sorts of other projects on the premises including a Datsun 260z with a Nissan Skyline engine.
