Replacement Wheels - Where to get?

I recently had a rather unfortunate run in with a pothole, and I took it to a couple of specialty places to see if getting it knocked out was an option, and their recommendation was that the damage was enough that it would be best to get a new wheel.

Well, the dealer wants $1100 for a new wheel, which is rather absurd. This is for a 2009 Cayman, 18" 5-spoke wheel, part number of 67373. I see a couple of places which carry refurbished/reconditioned OEM wheels in the $300-$500 range, but I have no experience with any of these places. Curious where others have bought from, and what their experiences were like.

    Thanks in advance.

Re: Replacement Wheels - Where to get?

I've bought Porsche wheels on eBay and have had good luck. In fact, I bought an entire set of 67341A wheels in near-perfect condition for $650, with winter tiresicon included. I was watching for a while to get this good of a deal, but they do come around.

I just sold one on eBay for $120 which had a little curb rash. Even if you refurbish slightly imperfect rim, there are very good reputable wheel refurb places who can make it perfect for $ 145. I would seriously look at eBay

Also, if your damage does not include a barrel bend or twist, then see if it can be fixed.
