Re: Track Day Wheel & Tire Recommendations

What size wheels are you going to run? That will have a big effect on what tires you can run.

Two affordable and easy solutions are the O.Z. Alleggerita at tire rack, 8.5"/10". If you want a...
  3. Cayman S Re: 987.2 CAYMAN S Track choice 255/35-18 - 275/35-18

    I'm no Apex1, but I run Apex 18x9et46 front with 255s and 18x10et36 with 285s.

You can find them on our site here. We stock them in this size :)

  6. Re: Will these wheels fit? Aggressive offsets for 987

This is actually not true, you lose camber in compression. It's the achilles of strut suspension :(
  7. Cayman S Re: 987.2 CAYMAN S Track choice 255/35-18 - 275/35-18

I wish the R888r was available in a few more sizes..

    Size, dia, weight..

    Toyo R888r
    255/35/18 25 25
    275/35/18 25.6 27

These should be fine, it's more about the dia delta front...

    Re: Tarrett Caliper Studs

I agree with D&D, if the stud is protruding beyond the nut it's not doing anything. If it's flush you have full thread engagement.
  10. Re: Brake bias / ABS / PTV issues after upgrades and running slicks.

I run the Brembo GT-S 380mm 6 piston front with GT-S 345mm 4 piston rears and Brembo RE10 pads all around with a GT3 master. Brakes are fantastic at the track. Initial bite is great. I don't run any...

S Model Re: 987.2 - Front Suspension Clunks

The upper strut mount is a likely culprit. It's pretty quick to pull a front strut to inspect the mount. If your shop did even a half way decent inspection that would have caught the LCA/TA bushing...

Re: Side to side movement in strut normal?

You should not have any play in the strut shaft. If you do the guide bushing is toast and they will need a refresh.

Re: Cobb Stage 2 100 Octane hp increase over 93?

We probably have just about every tune COBB has ever made, but it's a lot easier if you send us your map. That way we aren't guessing if the data log you send us is associated with a specific map.

    Re: Antigravity Batteries?

Antigravity doesn't disclose their BMS design to us but typically brief overvoltage is a non-issue. The BMS should handle that no problem, what you don't want is a constant state of overvoltage.
