    Re: Wrecked Cayman

    "WTF?"

That's going to be some expensive litter removal, that's WTF.
  2. Re: Mustang Lassoed - Pass the Cayman, Get a Ticket

I think you will be pleased. I had considered the BlendMount, but the included magnetic mount is better than I expected. The BlendMount does make for a cleaner installation.

    The 360c in auto mode...

Sticky: Re: What did you do to your 981 today?

Wasn't today but last Friday, got an oil change at Protech Motorsports in Greer, SC. I'd heard many good things about them. Oil change was significantly less expensive than dealer, but their overhead...
  4. Re: Mustang Lassoed - Pass the Cayman, Get a Ticket

I have a Max 360c. Had a Uniden R7 ordered but it arrived not working. I had been reading about the 360c which has slightly less range than the R7 but more useful features for me. Tom at BRD (Best...
  5. Re: Mustang Lassoed - Pass the Cayman, Get a Ticket

They did yesterday which was a good thing immho. But yes, in SC and especially in many of our small towns the cops are basically revenue collectors. Or worse. Do they have any idea why there is less...
  6. Re: Mustang Lassoed - Pass the Cayman, Get a Ticket

Maybe they figure the guy riding on a compact spare at 75+ will get Darwin's justice.
  7. Re: Mustang Lassoed - Pass the Cayman, Get a Ticket

He didn't see the LEO because the truck was blocking his sight line. Mustang guy pulled right over, he knew he was toast. I always check Waze before leaving the house and this area is heavily...

No doubt in a toga when written. I am falling on the side of a six or maybe, just maybe a hybrid. If a pure EV then....
  9. Re: Mustang Lassoed - Pass the Cayman, Get a Ticket

No kidding. I am not sure the LEO saw the driving antics or only the speeding.

I have Waze, my RD, and Escort live plus my own eyes and awareness as I know this area is heavily enforced. I was...

Re: Is it buyer remorse or my OCD

The Porsche warranty is good imo. Maybe you could (have) negotiated on the fact it was a demo and gotten the warranty extended? Don't know if anyone has done that but that would be worth a shot.

  12. Re: Jumping ship from American V8's, depending on maintenance

I've had my 981 Cayman base for over 2 years now and so far - knocking furiously on wood - no issues other than maintenance and tires. Being retired I don't drive it the miles some do, but I try to...

    Nice install!

I will get a blendmount at some point to improve the look and angle of the RD, but the sticky cup for the 360c works far better than I expected. Just not very adjustable.

I was able to tuck it in at the top of the A-pillar, over to the weatherstripping, into glove box where I have a battery. Yours is a good alternative!

Installed the straight power cable to the Max 360c. :) She really needs a wash and interior cleaning so that's coming up soon.
  18. Re: Have you noticed the 981 Cayman appreciating over the last year?

Just scanned one of the car selling sites and mine is generally priced right around my purchase price, that's a nice bonus. :) It is PDK with SC and quick enough for me. Kind of nice to have 2 hands...

Dang I am not too far from there, drove my baby up to Caesar's head not long ago. My parents had retired outside Canton off 276, that might have been the road you drove.
