    Re: Return of the six?????!!!!!!

I think that you may be on to something. If T4’s are the more desirable for most buyers, why on earth would they bring back the NA6?

    Re: Wrecked Cayman

Not necessarily. If you really hoon it from a standstill with the wheel turned, it's pretty easy to break the back end loose, even with the nannies full on. I know from experience.

    987 Re: No Spare Tire...

Many cars have dispensed with the spare nowadays. Annoying, but these cars have no room for one anyhow.

    1. Roadside assistance like AAA is pretty cheap insurance for any type of breakdown. ...
  4. Macan Re: Tire Patching - recommend a repair shop?

It isn't just a tire patch. Sidewall damage is very different from tread damage, and you might have a hard time finding anyone that will even try it.

I would be looking for new tires. At least...

Re: Mission E - Can it compete with Tesla?

The article did not mention the upgraded seats, so fair enough. However, the issue for me is removing or downgrading functionality in a car that has it built in. It just seems somehow wrong to...

    Re: 718 Grill protection upgrade

You would think so, but experience tells me otherwise. I had a recall for faulty air bag passenger cutoff (certainly safety related) and the dealer professed no knowledge of it, even after I read...
  9. Re: Cayman S with SPP & BT phone...will I be able play audio over BT?

SPP is not an option in Canada so I can't help you there (I presume that you are in the US). I strongly suspect that you won't be able to play directly from your phone.

    The device you are...

Being prepared for the future and disliking the prospect of it are not mutually exclusive. I have never been a fan of mobile phones, but I have one and use it. I still think that we were probably...

Re: 981 Wheel Storage at dealer

How old are the summer tires? Tires have best-by dates. Not sure, but I think 6 years from manufacture is typical.

  18. Re: Do 20" Rims Have Many Flat Tires Due to Road Hazards-Pot Holes, Etc?

I assume that the OP is concerned with potential effects due to the shorter sidewall in 20's. I have 20's for summer tires use 18's for winter, due to concerns with potholes. Most of the 53,000 km...

Appalling, but entirely consistent with Armstrong's value system. He is admitting that he was a phony and couldn't win without cheating and was therefore happy to cheat. Scum of society.

  42. Re: 6 cylinder NA cars are for "touring" (unless they aren't)

LOL, it certainly wouldn't be the first time Porsche had pissed off owners. A GT4 with a 400+ HP turbo four would be wickedly quick, but I wonder how the demand would be? When was the last time...
  43. Re: 6 cylinder NA cars are for "touring" (unless they aren't)

The 718 GTS is already more than a match for the existing Base 911, at least in terms of 0-100 km/hr times (4.1 sec vs 4.2). I agree that a 385 HP NA GT4 is a non-starter.
  44. Re: 6 cylinder NA cars are for "touring" (unless they aren't)

That’s why we were laughing. In my experience, the information that Porsche SA’s get often isn’t much better than the gossip in the rags, especially where it concerns new special editions.
  45. Re: 6 cylinder NA cars are for "touring" (unless they aren't)

That reminds me, we also discussed the Speedster. They are only getting four allocations (all claimed) which is a bit funny - they sponsor a Porsche racing team and usually get a comparatively high...
  46. Re: 6 cylinder NA cars are for "touring" (unless they aren't)

Utterly agree. However, I had the car in the dealer today and had a long chat with the SA who sold me my car. He said that the new GT4 and Spyder will have the GT3 engine, detuned to 450 HP or so....
