  1. Re: I think I finally found the source of my bizarre handling issue. Now, how to fix

I was listening to Smoking Tire video live stream - he mentioned a car that got all squirrelly on him. Turns out it was the steering wheel hub flange. Never would have thought.
  2. Re: I think I finally found the source of my bizarre handling issue. Now, how to fix

Suncoast has them for $389. Any screens or grills are aftermarket. Here is the caption from the Suncoast website.

Re: Buying Advice: 2006 Cayman S

Go to ClimaRepair to get new climate control switches. Takes about 20 minutes to replace and looks much better.
  4. Re: I think I finally found the source of my bizarre handling issue. Now, how to fix

Why not just get a 3rd radiator kit. Not too expensive (~$300) and includes the aero bits to redirect the air under the car.
  5. Re: question about dash radio info, et alia.

One thing to look at is the Cayman sub - I believe it is in the passenger footwell. My Mercedes SL has its Bose sub there as well.
  6. Re: Stock suspension vs coil-over suspension weights

Replace the standard seats with lightweight buckets. Many $$$$ but you will go a long way to achieve your goal. Also, if you have a Bose stereo replace with a simple single-DIN radio or just pull...

Re: Buying Advice: 2006 Cayman S

From what I know (which isn't much) the replacement engine would be just another M97 3.4 from the factory. No modifications or improvements. So it could still suffer an IMS failure (though...

Re: Is it the right car?

That seems like a lot of money for a mid-mileage base Cayman. I paid less than that for my high-mileage '05 Boxster S with lots of options.

    Re: Why I'm ordering a 718 Spyder

I wonder, does PASM now come with height adjustable coil-overs? My old 987.1 has PASM but I can't adjust the ride height. So I am saving my pennies for Bilstiens.

    Also, don't forget that with...

Cayman Re: Android Head Unit - 2007 Base Non-Bose

Over in the Mercedes world, the biggest complaint with these Seicane units is the FM reception, which is weak to non-existent. Along with not having Android Auto, I don't like the lack of HD radio.

  14. Re: question about dash radio info, et alia.

I want to hear more about the Bassbox ideas you have.

As to laggy navigation, I use Android Auto with my Pioneer unit and don't have any issues. I kind of prefer using Android Auto versus a...
  15. Re: question about dash radio info, et alia.

    Your choices are basically three:

    1) Get a Dension unit to add bluetooth and USB connectivity to your radio system - acts as a CD changer in your MOST loop.
    2) Get a MOST adapter unit like the...

    Re: Clutch life

Clutches aren't that big of an expense with these cars and 60k to 80k miles for a 10-15 year old car is also not that many miles. That being said, the car will probably need more than just a clutch...
  19. Re: Sprint Booster

Sprint Booster provides a throttle remap similar to Sport Chrono but with more settings across a spectrum. Sport Chrono is an on/off feature whereas Spring Booster is a 1-10 spectrum.
