  1. Re: Instrument Cluster Strange Display. What is it?

Pixel failure. Sometimes it will just go away on it's own. The only thing you can do is replace the speedo. Other than that there's nothing you can do.
  2. Re: Help in solving problems with Continenal Extreme Contact Sport + tires

If you're not having them Road Force Balanced you should. Regular spin balancing is definitely inferior. If that doesn't solve it then an alignment might help. Is it possible the wheels were damaged...

  9. Re: inevitability of failure of the IMS and Lokasil

IMS failure in the 987 series is ridiculously overstated. It's reported, by very reliable sources and experience, to be less than 1% of all 987s. You're just as likely to be hit by lightening. Bore...

Willing to bet the discount was due to the manufacturing date, BUT, they should have told you that. Call them, let them know you're unhappy and see if they'll step up. Keep us posted.

  37. Boxster S Re: 2005 Boxster S - Intermittent charging issues

Get it checked any way. You wouldn't be the first to get a brand new battery that was faulty. It's happened to me twice in my driving history.
  38. Boxster S Re: 2005 Boxster S - Intermittent charging issues

How old is your battery? I'd have that checked first. You could have a cell failing. And failing batteries in our cars cause all kinds of weird things to happen, unlike most cars.
