  1. 981 Cayman/Boxster DIY, Service, Repairs 2013-2016
I had the misfortune of having my lower caliper bolt strip. I was using a torque wrench and I wasn't even near the torquing point when it failed. I think its because I change my pads too often (14 times over the last 7 track events). I've contacted a local shop that I use and they say it...

  3. 987 Cayman/Boxster Modifications 2005-2012
Does anyone still make a ducktail spoiler or does anyone know where I can get one? A lot of the companies from a few years ago don't seem to be making them anymore.
  4. 987 Cayman/Boxster Chat 2005-2012
I bought some Akebono Euro pads for my 987.1 Cayman S. Is it okay to use these pads with the factory rotors? My car has low miles so the rotors are still in good shape, but I wasn't sure if I still needed to replace them due to them being incompatible with the new carbon-ceramic pads. Thanks!
  5. Porsche Tires & Wheels
I recently bought 19” Cayman S wheels that I’d like to install, but still need to purchase a new set of tpms since I still want to keep my stock 18s as back up. With that said, I was looking into huff/beru option below: Any thoughts on these? Or any other suggestions? These run quite a bit...

  8. 718 Cayman/Boxster Porsche (982) Chat 2017-Now
Hello, I was researching my new purchase and it seems the ROW are able to get sport bucket seats in a 718, I wonder why we are still unable to purchase sport buckets here in the states? Will aftermarket GT2 style seats from Suncoast work in a 718? I am not referencing full buckets mind you...

  10. Porsche Tires & Wheels
I've just had confirmation from Michelin UK that as of Dec2017 the 245/40/18 97Y and 265/40/18 101Y varieties of the PSS have been discontinued. This is a shame because these sizes aren't available in the PS4S in Europe, and although the 245/40/18 PS4S is available in the US there are apparently...
  11. 981 Cayman/Boxster Electronics 2013-2016
Today I pulled up my map and saw immediately that it was lost. The arrow showing direction of travel is still oriented correctly, but the location is off by 1/4 to 1/2 mile. I restarted the car and even tried to reset the nav function but it is still wrong. HAs anyone experienced this? Its...

Barely visible, but still nothing to take chances on, right? I don't recall how it happened, but now that I do think of it, I did have to go to the gas station since the TPMS suddenly went off for that tire while driving. I already ordered a new set of front tires. Apart from the bubble, the...
  15. 981 Cayman GT4 Chat
I had a chance to jump on the Manheim auction site yesterday and decided while I was there I would look up GT4's to see how they were selling. There were only 4 on the site and all 4 were over 100% of MSRP, the range was 108% to 115% of MSRP. This is on an auction site, I imagine that retail...
  16. 981 Cayman/Boxster Problems & Complaints 2013-2016
Had a screw puncture in my other car so I plugged it and used my 981's air compressor to refill the tire. It only ran for 3...4 minutes max and I got to about 25psi when the compressor conked out. I let it cool down and it still won't turn on. What a worthless piece of... :confused:Does this...

Would you be afraid of lots of parts replaced under warranty? According to Carfax the cats were replaced twice, computer checked and freon charged all before 20k miles. Then engine, flywheel replaced and transmission repair at 47k now the car is up for sale at 57k miles. Are there still gremlins...
