The rules and regulations of the Cayman InterSeries Championship as herein set forth, are designed to provide for competitive and orderly auto racing activities and to further partic-ipant safety.
Auto racing is, however, an inherently dangerous activity that can result in death or serious injuries. By participating in Cayman InterSeries Championship activities, each participant acknowledges the risk inherent in auto racing.
Cayman InterSeries Championship specifically disclaims any and all warranties express or implied, including but not limited to warranties of safety or fitness for a particular purpose that may arise from the publications of Cayman InterSeries Championship rules or partic-ipant compliance with Cayman InterSeries Championship rules.
The Cayman InterSeries Championship further makes no warranty as to the safety of Cay-man
InterSeries Championship participants even if all safety precautions required by the Cay-man
InterSeries Championship rules are followed.
Participant agrees that it shall be the sole responsibility of participant to comply with Cayman
InterSeries Championship rules as well as any installation and/or maintenance instructions of
safety device or system manufacturers. It shall not be the responsibility of the Cayman In-terSeries Championship to detect the absence of or improper installation of safety devices or systems.
It shall be at the discretion of participants to incorporate any and all such devices and sys-tems as they see fit for their personal safety. Personal safety in no way is to be consi-dered or used as the ability to gain competitive advantage or to violate the spirit or intent of the Cayman InterSeries Championship Rules. Only modifications to the vehicle specifi-cally permitted by the Cayman InterSeries Championship Rules as set forth in this docu-ment are allowed.

Advertising And Promotion Release
By Registering to participate in a Cayman InterSeries Championship Event each participant
grants to the Cayman InterSeries Championship, its duly authorized agents and assigns, an
exclusive license to use and sublicense his or her name, likeness and performance, in-cluding
photographs, images and sounds of such Competitor and/or any vehicle(s) with respect to which the Competitor competes in Cayman InterSeries Championship Events, in any way, medium or material (including but not limited to broadcasts by and through television, cable television, radio, pay-per-view, closed circuit television, satellite signal, digital signal, film productions, audiotape productions, transmissions over the Internet, public and private online services authorized by Cayman InterSeries Championship, sales and other commercial projects, and the like) for promoting, advertising, broadcasting, recording or reporting any Cayman InterSeries Championship event before, during and after such event, and each Participant hereby relinquishes to Cayman InterSeries Championship exclusively and in perpetuity all rights thereto for such purposes.

HSR CAYMAN INTERSERIES CHAMPIONSHIP
This Spec Racing Series, its success and your enjoyment rely heavily on rules compliance.
Competition Rules 2010 Effective Date 2/15/10:
RULE NUMBER ONE: Only modifications specifically allowed are permitted.

Part 2. Owner-of-Record/Driver/Prep Shop Responsibility
2.1Neither the Series nor its Officials have the responsibility to determine that a vehicle is either safe or
2.2It is the individual obligation of the owner-of-record, the driver and the prep shop to assure compliance with any and all Cayman InterSeries Championship Rules.
2.3It is equally and independently the responsibility of the owner-of-record, driver and prep shop to always maintain the Cayman InterSeries Championship racecar in safe working order, and compliance with the rules.
2.4The Series, and its Officials may determine that unsafe and non-compliant conditions exist, and require remediation.
2.5Changes made without knowledge of any one or more of the owner-of-record, the driver and the prep shop are not defense for penalty and remediation.
2.6Any and all cost incurred by the Series, or its designee, to examine or dismantle any piece or part
(i.e. engine, transmission, etc.) to determine legality, or resolve a dispute of legality, will be at the expense of the owner-of-record.
2.7All Cayman InterSeries Championship competition vehicles must be equipped with two-way-radio communication systems maintained in proper working order.
2.8Any time a vehicle is on-track a designated team member must have immediate radio access to the driver to facilitate pertinent information by a Cayman InterSeries Championship Official.
2.9It is the responsibility of the owner-of-record, driver, or prep shop to assure all current team frequencies are on file with the Cayman InterSeries Championship.
Part 3. Rule Infractions
3.1Rule infractions will not be tolerated.
3.2At the discretion of The Series a competitor violating any Cayman InterSeries Championship Rule will
3.3The penalty for rule infraction may be financial, partial or total loss of accrued series points, immediate probation or suspension of competition privileges, or, in the case of severe or blatant violations, exclusion from multiple competition events or all future events.
3.4Multiple penalties may be imposed.
3.5Interpretation and application of Cayman InterSeries Championship Rules by The Series Officials shall be final and binding.
3.6Interpretations and enforcement of Cayman InterSeries Championship Rules by The Series Officials are non-litigable.
3.7A Competitor who believes another Competitor has or will obtain significant unfair competitive advantage by action or rules violation may lodge complaint with The Series Officials who will have sole discretion of action to be taken. Malicious, frivolous, or bad faith complaints may be penalized.
Part 4. Vehicle Eligibility
4.1Cayman InterSeries Championship vehicle eligibility is limited to 2009 or 2010 Cayman S, USA specification cars exclusively supplied through napleton porsche.
4.2Only cars modified by a “Series Approved Builder” with a valid Cayman InterSeries Championship Serial Number on an Official Identification Plate properly attached to the vehicle are eligible.
4.3Cayman InterSeries Championship Officials, exclusively, will determine a vehicles eligibility to meet specification for competition in the Series including any equipment or part.
4.4All cars are required to have an historic paint scheme. e.g. Martini Racing, Rothmans, Gulf, Hippie
Car, etc. Only paint schemes or wraps approved by The Series are allowed.
4.5Duplicate paint schemes or wraps are NOT allowed.
Part 5. Engine
5.1Stock engines as delivered from the factory will be sealed by the series.
5.2No modifications after the air filter or before the exhaust pipes are allowed.
5.3Removal of air conditioning hoses, condenser and compressor is allowed.
5.4Air conditioning compressor delete kit is allowed.
5.5Any radiator installed in the stock location is allowed.
5.6Only water and water wetters in the cooling system are allowed.
5.7Only the OE flywheel is allowed.
5.8An alternate clutch disc with the same OE diameter is allowed.
5.9Only the sealed Series-spec ECU, supplied by Napleton Porsche, is allowed.
5.10Any ECU with a broken seal is ineligible for use in competition.
5.11The series reserves the right to check, replace or reflash vehicle ECU’s at any time during an event.
5.12Only data acquisition which records and stores data for driver coaching is allowed.
5.13For any reason, should a seal be broken, it is the vehicle owner-of-record, driver or prep shop’s responsibility to notify the Cayman InterSeries Championship Technical Director, or Series Official for inspection and resealing.
5.14A broken engine seal may only be resealed, after inspection, by an authorized Cayman InterSeries Championship Official.
5.15Any vehicle with a broken engine seal is ineligible for competition.
Part 6. Fuel
6.1Only commercially available pump grade unleaded fuel is allowed.
6.2To assist in lubrication of the high-pressure fuel pump only Z-Max additive is allowed.
6.3Fuel samples may be taken at the discretion of The Series.
Part 7. Suspension
7.1Shocks must be spec-model JRZ “PRO” factory sealed as supplied exclusively by Napleton Porsche.
7.2Replacement of suspension bushing material is allowed. Original axis must be maintained.
7.3Replacement of springs is allowed.
7.4Replacement of toe links/bump steer links are allowed.
7.5Porsche OEM, GT3 type, two-piece lower control arms are allowed.
Part 8. Tires and Wheels
8.1Only the 18-inch diameter Series-spec-tire, as determined by the Series, is allowed.
8.2Tread must be a minimum 2/32” over 2/3 of the tire at the start of each session, (practice,
8.3Visible tread must remain on the contact surface at the end of each session, (practice, qualifying, race).
8.4With proper wheel fitment any tire width is allowed.
8.5Maximum wheel width and size Front 9”x18” / Rear 10”x18 is allowed.
8.6Tire/wheel packages that fit inside unaltered bodywork without rubbing are allowed.
8.7Any wheel type and style of racing quality is allowed.
8.8Wheel spacers are allowed.
8.9Replacement of wheel bolts with studs is allowed.
Part 9. Brakes
9.1Replacing brake pad material and brake lines is allowed. (Stainless brake lines are allowed.)
9.2Ducting air to rotors is allowed.
9.3Removal or modification of dust shields (backing plates) is allowed.
9.4Any brake fluid that meets or exceeds DOT 4 Spec is allowed.
9.5Removal of hand brake components are allowed.
Part 10 Transmissions
10.1Stock transmissions as delivered from the factory will be sealed by the series.
10.2Changing the differential to the Series-spec “GT Cayman S LSD by Guard Transmission” or modifying the stock differential is allowed.
10.3Modification to, or substitution of, a shifter mechanism to reduce the range of motion is allowed. e.g. Alex Job Racing (AJR) Custom Replacement Shifter Kit.
10.4An external oil cooler and pump is allowed.
10.5For any reason, should a seal be broken, it is the vehicle owner-of-record, driver or prep shop’s responsibility to notify the Cayman InterSeries Championship Technical Director, or Series Official for inspection and resealing.
10.6A broken transmission seal may only be resealed, after inspection, by an authorized Cayman InterSeries Championship Official.
10.7Any vehicle with a broken transmission seal is ineligible for competition.
Part 11. Body/Chassis/Interior
11.1A Fuel Cell is highly recommended but not required.
11.2Sheet metal modification required for installation of a fuel cell in the spare tire compartment is allowed.
11.3Any fuel cell installed must meet or exceed FIA certification.
11.4Total fuel cell capacity may not exceed 16.9 gallons (OEM spec).
11.5Any driver seat is allowed, but must meet FIA safety standards. If requested, FIA documentation
must be supplied.
11.6Passenger seat removal is allowed.
11.7Any steering wheel and shift knob, with the exception of wood, is allowed.
11.8Steering wheel quick release is allowed.
11.9Only Series-spec front splitters and rear spoilers, supplied exclusively by Napleton Porsche, are allowed.
11.10Retention of the front lip spoiler as delivered from the factory is allowed.
11.11Removing interior panels, except main dash panel, is allowed.
11.12Modification of the main dash, only for roll cage installation is allowed.
11.13Additional gauges are allowed, but stock dash gauges must be retained.
11.14Removal of headliner is allowed.
11.15Removal or deactivation of airbags is allowed.
11.16Removal of all carpeting, sound-deadening and heat shield material is allowed.
11.17Removal of Radio/PCM components and climate control system is allowed.
11.18Removal of center lower dash, or modification with a panel of appropriate material is allowed.
11.19Removal of the center console is allowed.
11.20Battery replacement, retained in the stock location, is allowed.
11.21Installation of driver service equipment is allowed. e.g. cool suit/helmet blower, radio, cameras, etc.
Part 12. Vehicle Weight
12.1Minimum weight is 3050 lbs as the car comes off-track.
12.2Weight is measured equipped-as-raced, with driver-owner/entrant-of-record plus all personal
12.3All cars must be pre-weighed at a “Cayman InterSeries Championship Approved Tech,” compliance will be noted with issuance of an Official Tech sticker.
12.4All ballast-weight must be firmly secured directly, by a series approved and supplied auxiliary structure, to the stock passenger-seat mounting using all bracket holes.
Part 13. Spot Inspection
13.1Series cars may be inspected at any time during an event by a Cayman InterSeries Championship Official.
13.2The first three finishers, and at least two random finishers may be weighed and inspected after practice, qualifying or race at the discretion of The Series and must meet or exceed minimum weight and be in compliance with all Series Rules.
13.3Refusal of any spot inspection will immediately place the owner-of-record, the driver and the prep shop in breach of Cayman InterSeries Championship Rules and may result in a penalty as provided in Part 3.3, Rules Infractions.
Part 14. Championship Points
14.1Championship Points will be awarded for the best seven of nine scheduled races in the 2010
Cayman InterSeries Championship series.
14.2Points will be awarded using the current published Historic SportsCar Racing (HSR) point system.
Please refer to the HSR website, www.hsrrace.com, for the published points structure. Once on the web site, from the pull-down menus across the top of the page choose “Racing Series”; inside of that pull-down menu select “Racing Series” again; finally select “Race Series Points System” (second from the top choice).
14.3At the discretion of The Series, additional points from races run outside the HSR schedule may be
added to the Cayman InterSeries Championship.
14.4The Cayman InterSeries Championship will crown two, year-end champions: One Sprint Race Champion and One Endurance Race Champion.
14.5Rule violations may result in a loss of some or all Cayman InterSeries Championship points.
Part 15. Rules Revision
15.1Any competitor is encouraged to submit a rule request or revision to the Cayman InterSeries Championship Directors for review.
15.2In order to benefit the Series, Cayman InterSeries Championship rules may be modified or changed
by the Series Directors for clarification, or to correct errors and omissions without initial notification to participants.
15.3Participants will be notified of rules modification, clarifications or change at the earliest practical time.
Part 16. Sanctioning Body
16.1All Cayman InterSeries Championship competitors will be governed by the rules of the sanctioning body under which the competition is run, to include, but not exclusively, the vehicle technical inspection and driver’s personal safety equipment.
16.2In event of policy conflict, the rules of the sanctioning body will govern. e.g. safety equipment.
Part 17. General Rules
17.1Cayman InterSeries Championship is the sole authority for vehicle development and series management.
17.2Any and all vehicle modifications must be governed by the regulations in this document.
17.3The physical act of participating in the Cayman InterSeries Championship is agreement to fully abide by all Series Rules and Regulations. Participation shall be defined as Registering to participate in a Cayman InterSeries Championship event.
17.4The Cayman InterSeries Championship may, but is not required to, accept any entry and reserves the right, at any time, to reject any entrant for any action or conduct detrimental to automobile racing or the Cayman InterSeries Championship.
17.5Any action or conduct detrimental to automobile racing or the Cayman InterSeries Championship to include but not limited to: fraudulent or illegal proceedings; reckless or dangerous driving, either on course or in the pits and paddock; unsportsmanlike driving or conduct; or physical violence towards any other participant, official, or spectator, may result in immediate rejection of the premises or penalty as provided in Part 3, Rules Infractions.
17.6If there is disagreement or dispute regarding interpretation,meaning or application of Cayman InterSeries Championship Rules, the interpretation and application by the Cayman InterSeries Championship Officials shall prevail.
17.7Litigation in order to reverse or modify official Cayman InterSeries Championship rulings and determinations are prohibited.
17.8Individuals who maintain litigation in violation of General Rule 17.4 agree to reimburse The Cayman InterSeries Championship, or any of its Officials, for all costs of such litigation, including travel expense and attorney’s fees. Officials time will be reimbursed at $275.00 per hour.
Part 18. Drug Abuse Policy
18.1The consumption of alcoholic beverages by any participant is expressly prohibited until all practice, qualifying, and racing activity has been completed for the day.
18.2The use of any narcotic or dangerous drug, as defined by Federal Law or by the law of the state where the event is being held, by any participant is specifically prohibited.
18.3The owner-of-record is responsible for any co-driver, crew or guest found in violation of Part 18.1 or 18.2.
18.4 Any participant found in violation of Part 18.1 or 18.2 may immediately be excluded from the competition, removed from the event and/or penalized under Part 3, Rules Infractions.
