A modern straight 10-spoke design with reinforced lips, knurled beading along the barrel, and I-beam spokes. The SM-10 spokes were designed to be robust where they need to be, and extra lightweight where they should be. Weight is reduced by CNC machining material out from the sides of each spoke, and this functional and visual feature is typically only found on the most expensive race wheels available on the market today. Narrower 8.5" - 9" front wheel applications have a profile 1 shallow concave face to maximize brake clearance, while the wider 10" - 12" rear wheel applications have either a medium concave or deep concave face depending on width and offset specifications.

The right solution for every application. An optimized car setup begins with the perfect wheel and tire fitment. Without model-specific attention to each wheel's specifications, maximum performance is compromised. Each size was selected to find the right balance between a clean fit and the most grip possible. Each design's wide range of widths, offsets, and face profiles result in unique fitments ranging from 8.5" to 12" wide. Each wheel combines these features to meet the different brake caliper, strut, and fender clearance needs of each targeted Porsche chassis. To ensure we meet the diverse performance and budgetary needs of the Porsche community, APEX offers a variety of fitment solutions. Daily drivers and professional racers have very different goals, so why should they be forced to buy the same exact fitment?

100% OEM Compatibility


No need to change your wheel bolts, center caps, or TPMS sensors. All APEX Porsche wheels were designed from the start to work with OEM R14 ball seat hardware, which means both OEM lug bolts and aftermarket stud kits with the proper lug nut seat type will fit perfectly. All of our 5x130 Porsche wheels use a 71.6mm center bore, no hubcentric rings or adapters are necessary. All wheels come with gloss black APEX center caps, but you can also snap-in your OEM Porsche crest caps for a more OEM+ look. All APEX wheels accept OEM and aftermarket equivalent TPMS sensors, and any standard-sized metal or rubber valve stem.

Brake Clearance


If the spokes or barrel of a wheel can't clear your brakes, the wheel simply can't be used at all. Our Engineers designed our Porsche SM-10 wheels from the ground up with brake clearance top of mind. Many aftermarket wheels that have aesthetic compromises in their design may work with smaller stock brakes, or smaller diameter aftermarket big brake kits, but the larger kits typically pose a major problem. Targeted at the serious performance-minded owner, 18" SM-10 wheels clear both of the factory 6-piston 380mm and 4-piston 350mm PCCB's found on select 997 & 996 911 models, as well as the 6-piston 350mm PCCB's found on select Cayman & Boxster models.

These 18" SM-10 wheels also clear a wide variety of aftermarket BBK's including the Brembo 6-piston 380mm GT/GT-S/GT-R kits, as well as the AP Racing 6-piston 372mm kits offered by Essex Parts. Use our fitment guides to confirm brake clearance, or contact us if you don't see your setup listed.

Weight Optimized



We conducted extensive Finite Element Analysis to reinforce high-stress areas and to remove material where it didn't improve strength. The end result is a flow formed wheel with an ideal balance of strength and weight.

JWL & VIA - More Than Just a Stamp


Many companies promote their wheels as being certified by the VIA when they actually aren't. That's like using the USDA logo on food without permission. APEX wheels get officially tested and registered by the VIA in Japan, and we have the proof to back it up. Japan's JWL is a standard for wheel load ratings. Our wheels exceed those ratings. Most manufacturers only meet the minimum, while some even fall below--yet they still claim to be JWL. Always verify load ratings before you buy.

Hub Centric - All APEX Porsche wheels with a 5x130mm bolt pattern are purpose built featuring a 71.6mm center bore. No centering rings required.

Center Caps - We don't charge extra for caps and we design our Porsche wheels to be interchangeable with the OE Porsche crest caps for enthusiasts seeking a clean factory look. All wheels come with our gloss Black APEX caps included. We also offer an optional gloss red APEX caps.

Hardware - APEX wheels can be used with all OEM R14 ball seat mounting hardware, proper aftermarket hardware and wheel spacers. Wheel locks and stud conversion kits also work perfectly.

TPMS - All APEX wheels accept OEM and aftermarket Tire Pressure Monitoring Sensors and standard fit valve stems. If your vehicle isn't equipped with sensors or you choose to bypass them for your track/race car, then select from our metal stems available in multiple finishes to match your wheels.

Now that all pre-orders have shipped, we are eager to see more on car photography from the Cayman/Bozster community. Here is a 996TT shoot we completed which helps show off the SM-10 features.

Josh's Porsche 996TT with 18" APEX SM-10 Wheels
This 996TT is equipped with Bilstein PSS10 coilovers in combination with other RSS suspension components. When running a 9" front wheels with 255/35-18 tires up front (as opposed to the more standard 8.5" wheel) we typically recommend a minimum of -2.5° camber to eliminate rubbing under suspension compression and to get the most of the r-compound tires.

Here is a very clean 2003 996 Porsche Turbo running APEX SM-10 wheels. We have multiple staggered fitments available for the 996 and 997 Turbo chassis, and after consulting with our customer in regards to his plans for the car and identifying how he enjoys it, we landed on the following staggered wheel fitment. Any former 996 owners here? This has got to be one of the cleanest dual duty 996's we've seen in a while, and we are pretty pumped that the owner incorporated our SM-10 wheels into his build.
