Hey,

I am currently looking at a 2006 Cayenne Turbo V8. I am going for the older model as I want the TechArt Magnum bodykit on it.
It will most likely be the daily driver for my wife - means getting groceries and driving to the hair dresser...

What kind of mileage can I expect from a 2006 Turbo engine? Do they last forever or require tons of maintenance?

Thanks,

Jay

I had a 2006 non-turbo. The cost of maintenance was prohibitive. Things like:

1. the centre drive shaft steady bearing failed.
2. the cat failed.
3. the central locking failed and the door hinges had to be cut off to allow access.
4. the fan motors (both inside and outside failed.
5. I had to remove both light buckets and extend the wires so that the connector could be more firmly shoved into the bucket - I was getting light bulb failure notices almost weekly.
6. the speed control sensor failed and a required a tow.
7. all of the coil packs failed.

Otherwise fun to drive though.

It all depends on the maintenance or how the car was treated.
My 06" Turbo is a gas guzzler , but we all know that.
Nice car, amazing power.
Sometimes my air suspension fails and light comes on. I stop the car, turn it off and lock it. Unlock it and it dissapears. If not first time, the 2nd.
Small intermittent problems like this, but nothing serious so far.
Regular maintenance at dealer is expensive.
Almost 120 , 000 miles
