I know it's early and I've only had my Cayman a few weeks, but I'm doing some research into what winter wheels/tires I will be using this season....

I found a set of tires that have the rear size in 255/45/18 instead of the 265/45/18 that came from the factory. Since I am new to Porsche I wanted to ask if, other than the speedometer being off slightly, this would be a problem. The wheel and tire set is a decent price and they include TPMS sensors so if there are no issues I would like to buy them.

Please let me know if the slight difference in diameter would cause any issues.

You should be perfectly fine dropping one size, the effect on the speedo is very minor. Good luck and glad to see more people with winter wheels, I love mine.

Thanks for the feedback James. Just wanted to make sure the change in tire size didn't affect anything other than the speedometer.
