I track my 996 C4S regularly.
A GT3 seat is installed, but I'm still using the stock seat belt.
I wish to use a 5/6point harness.

QUESTION:

Harness Mount setup or full roll cage.

I prefer the bar, as it is less intrusive in a Daily Driver.

Harness bar alone is not a good option - in a roll over, there's nothing over your head except the roof, and you are being held upright in the seats by the harnesses. I did roll bar from Hergesheimer and am very happy with that decision. If you race, I'd strongly consider a cage.

Also, most racing organizations tell you to get 6 point not 5 point harness... something about broken pelvic bones with 5 points....

Check out the photos of my SAFETY setup in my album. GMG World Challenge roll bar, Schroth Profi II harnesses, and Corbeau CR1 Leather seats. I went with the Corbeau's rather than a full on race seat because it is not a dedicated track car. I did a lot of research before I went this route.
