Welcome to P9?? What brought you to sign up here? Just curious.

Also, your links don't seem to be showing up. Here they are: LotLinx - New 2015 BMW M6 - WBS6C9C55FD467700 LotLinx - New 2014 Porsche Cayenne Turbo S - WP1AC2A28ELA87612

It's a weird pair of cars to be cross shopping. Do you need to carry around back seat passengers? Are you worried about the image they portray?

the one link is for a Cayenne and not a 911 ... interesting question to pose on a Porsche site .... and actually you should probably buy the one that excites you the most....

Is it possible the links weren't hidden by accident and this is actually some sort of spam?

Believe it or not, I actually cross shopped these two when looking to move away from my 981BS. Here's what I was looking for:

1. Something of a back seat, not so much because I regularly transport people but because when I have a front passenger its nice to have somewhere other than their lap to put my sunshade, day planner etc without getting out of the car and putting them in the trunk.

2. A larger, turbocharged engine that also had existing or promising aftermarket support. Outside of the 911TT and Cayenne TT, this led me to the Dinan BMWs and GIAC Audis including the M6 Gran Sport and RS7. I also considered the X6M which is due to hit showrooms soon but the X6M and Cayenne TT were starting to get a little bigger than I really wanted.

3. AWD was a nice-to-have since my time here in the desert is running out and my next duty station could very well be Ohio or D.C.

In the end I settled on the 911TT and ordered last month. I'm still somewhat concerned that my bank is going to laugh when I ask them for $150k+ so if the financing doesn't go through I decided on the X6M as a backup. I know, I know, I said it was too big but I decided that if I was going to have four doors I also wanted four useable seats. The RS7 was nice but the rear headroom made the back seats almost useless and the M6 Gran Coupe was starting to look dated and had an equally cramped back seat.

So all in all, it isn't really a stretch to be cross shopping these cars.
