Hi everyone, I just bought a 1980 930 that was modified to make it look like a 964 (the car has been re sprayed black) and I am busy restoring the car back to original. I managed to get the original specs from Porsche and the color spec on the car was 9999 which means 'color to sample' and the interior spec code says 97 which was an internal dealer ordering code in Germany at the time (1980).

Two questions:
1 - should I scratch the paint to the body and get an indication of the original color (manage to get an idea inside the fenders and it looks like a maroon to me) and try and match that or should I leave it black?

2- can anyone tell me what the 97 interior trim code means?

Thanks!

Re: Turbo Interior Trim Spec and Color Code

Whats the end game? I haven't followed the values of 930s but what you're talking about sounds really expensive. Unless it has a ROI that makes sense i would maybe just get the stock bumpers back on and call it a day. good luck carl
