I’d have to agree ... The bottom lip in black on the Spyder makes it look as if the front spoiler is not lined up with the rocker panels on the side of the car. Kind of like the car is wearing an incomplete body kit. I guess it’s like that so the lip can be easily replaced due to the GT4’s low clearance. But the look is suboptimal in lighter colors...I guess I am a bit biased, but for the light colored BGTS as well as CGTS they look a bit funky when seen from the front due to the 2 tone color of the front bumper. That was probably done to emulate the 918 spyder but it doesn't look quite right, at some angles it looks like the front bumper is floating/missing some pieces. The body colored GTS style bumper offered on the regular 981's look a bit better, but you still notice the little transitions in the intake area.
The 2 tone color scheme on the GTS becomes a bit less prominent on darker colored cars.
The GTS bumper is a little better in this respect because at least the part by the front wheel well is body colored, providing some continuity with the rocker panel.
For my personal preference, the nose on the 981 is already too long. The GTS takes it a little further, and the GT4/Spyder nose is IMHO ridiculously long ...
