Hello everybody, I am new to this forum, I just bought my 981 Cayman 2015 and there is one thing frustrating me related to the music and entertainment in the car. The Car has no USB port, there is only one AUX port in the glove compartment, I already connected an mp3 music player to it and I was able to enjoy the music, however there is nothing showing in the PCM screen (AUX tab) and I can only control the music from the MP3 player not from the car. Has anyone encounter this? Is there some specific music player compatible with PCM and can be controlled from the car? Any thoughts on this? the car does not support AUX Bluetooth as well.

If you have a screen in your car then you have PCM. What you’re missing is the Nav option which on the 981 included the USB port in the glovebox and I think the Aux BT function.
If you have Aux BT on your Media menu then that will allow you to control the music selection on the connected phone/device.
For the 718, I don’t know if they included a standard USB port, but on the GT4 it is possible to order car play without Nav, so I guess so.
