I am not a professional detailer. But my experience is that the paint is definitely not hard. I finally gave up, had the paint corrected and then wrapped the entire car.

My understanding is that the paint softness is a product of environmental regulations in Europe but I don’t know that for sure. Compared to my F150 the paint on the 981 is like cheese.

Both on my old 981 and the Macan, I would say you just have to look at this paint and it scratches!

Like Canux, I had both vehicles wrapped, because IMHO you really shouldn't be correcting the paint on your Porsche every few months...

Its not quite Subaru or Honda soft, nice to work with really. For light to medium stuff, Sonax Perfect Finish & Yellow Rupes pad, 4 passes, 10-15# pressure and it was ready to coat.
