We just shipped this beautiful Cayman R to Southern California to run a POC time trial class. The weight needed to be 2900 lbs and we were not allowed to increase the power and torque at all given the class stipulations. The car belongs to a customer in LA, was found on a lot in Georgia and was shipped to us for the following work:

996 GT3 Cup 6-Piston Calipers, 350MM FR / 325 MM R Girodisc brakes, Pagid pads, wheel studs and lug nuts are hidden behind the lightweight GA1R wheels that weigh 18.5 lbs each and are mounted with giant R7 245/295 Hoosiers. The car has a carbon fiber rear hatch, wing base and wing from Getty Design along with a fiberglass front splitter.

We added coolers for the transmission and power steering along with a battery kill for both driver and corner workers.

The car has a revised front bumper cover hiding the upgraded PWR Radiators and the enlarged radiator intake shrouds for better flow and reduced oil and coolant temps.

The car has full GT3 style monoball suspension, 2-way adjustable MCS coil overs, urethane trans and engine mounts from Wevo and upgraded sway bars and drop links from Tarett Engineering. We did a full track alignment and corner balancing before removing the Forgelines.

We did a custom 4-point harness bar without the rear view robbing x-design and added Schroth enduro harnesses, an AIM Solo DL and an HD SmartyCam.

We put it back on the OE wheels and tires for shipment in we finally weighed the car and got it all ready for shipment! The car has about 50% of the interior removed and was very strong for a car with 100% stock power and torque.

Nice work! I like the simplified dash center. I did a replica 904 carbon dash for a guy and found out carbon is a pretty good conductor...that was fun.
I guess it would depend on the track but do you think the stock R has enough grunt to haul that rear wing down a straight?
