It's the TopGear valved exhaust. Far better pricing (like less than half) than I could find on similar systems from the US (Soul, Fabspeed, etc). Contacted the owner and he gave me a solid forum discount. No tax, either. What brand are they ?
Good suggestion, I'll look into it.I would suggest if you extend the shock frame slots to gain more camber in the front, to use a Racing Dynamics strut brace or Rennline one. These bars will sandwich the frame and the shock mount to hold the frame from side torque motion. They are hidden from view behind the battery.
Yep I am very happy with my decision, with the race headers it sounds incredible. Open valves is straight up racecar, closed valves and I don't piss off all the neighbors or get annoyed driving it long distance. At least with the manual I have no issues with drone at all.Well done! I put the valved Top Gear exhaust on my 987.2 as well about 6 months ago. For the money it can't be beat. Sounds great and is actually not overly loud even with the valves open driving normally. I still have the stock headers, so maybe it will be louder if I get aftermarket headers. Regardless, it does scream on WOT and it sounds lovely on a race track.
Ever did a dyno on those headers before/after install?Well done! I put the valved Top Gear exhaust on my 987.2 as well about 6 months ago. For the money it can't be beat. Hey Apex1,I had Cantrell slot the adjustment holes to allow for -4 degree more camber. They really did not want to do this, but they also agreed that camber plates do rattle after a couple of years,
Nope, sorry. To be honest I'm not all that interested in the minor performance gains from the exhaust. I'm sure there's probably some to be had, especially with a tune, but I did it mostly because I like the sound haha.Ever did a dyno on those headers before/after install?
Nice!! You're going to love Sonoma. I'm headed there on September 28th 🙂Augie, I lived in NJ and drove all of the tracks north of VIR and Mosport and Tremblant in Canada. Still want to get to Road Atlanta. I live in Vegas now and race in Cali mostly. Sonoma for the first time next weekend. The flow and altitude changes at WGI are a beautiful thing. Laguna does have the corkscrew though!
