I was thinking that it would be nice if we did a 987.2 exhaust roundup. I am guessing that if it has been as hard for me as anybody else to gather some good data on the new gen exhausts, this could benefit a lot of people

This was my quick reply on the Fabspeed:

"Yes it's worth it. One caveat: As an early 20-something-year-old, I find the exhaust pretty tame. I read on here that some people think it's one of the more aggressive systems....I just don't see it. I'm coming from HKS/Greddy exhausts on my Lexus so this may skew my opinion. The fabspeed is whisper quiet until you pass the daily driving RPM range and open the throttle up (the sound is great here), but it's never LOUD. Yes it drones a bit, but so does everything else."

The one I like is AWE tuning, not loud and not quiet.... sounds about right!

Abit pricey though unless you wanna keep your stock tips... but their black glossy tips are very sexy!

I'm still waiting before I jump onto the boat... I want to hear the new Borla and remus first.

Scott thank you for the compliments on the Maxflo exhaust. IMHO I feel the exhaust to be tame as well on the 987.2 Boxster/Cayman, but again I have no muffler on my Benz V8 (it's the CLK in the background of the Boxster video). With our system there is a more pronounced, deeper tone than stock. Here are two sound clips on the 987.2 Boxster/Cayman.

Chris @ Borla just called me yesterday. I am headed over to Borla HQ in Oxnard, CA tomorrow (Wednesday 11/25) to get their new 987.2 true dual catback exhaust w/ 4" tips installed and fit tested/verified.

Will take photos and post on the experience.

I have been looking for something for my 2009 Boxster S and I have listened to a bunch of video/audios and I am leaning towards either Fabspeed or FVD. Now that Borla is finally getting a product I will wait and see the details about their unit. I look forward to your report Interpol.
