Looking into the front compartment, I don't see the 2 black diagonal braces that connect the strut tower to under the windshield. Are they supposed to be there for a 987.1 Boxster? I see absolutely no sign of them being installed prior, the mounting holes look unmarked.

I was looking into buying a front strut brace, and I found a lot of threads saying they're useless on the 9x7 because there are already factory diagonal braces installed. Obviously I don't see that in my 987.1.

Looking into the parts diagram, looks like the 987 boxster/caymans don't have this brace but the 997s do? Dome Strut

I don't see the same "Dome strut" part for the 987s.
