After Three years of test driving, researching, looking, and trying to find one that isn't full of challenges and/or over charging, finally found the one that met my criterias and then some.

Found a 2009 Cayman, 2.9L, Manual, Heated Seats. Silver on Black. Just hit 70k miles.

I wanted as manual as possible.

This thing reminds me of my 1976 911S that I once had definitely miss that thing, but this fills the void in almost every way. The way the engine sounds. The way the door sounds when it closes. The way the seat and wheel feels. All of it.

I made the purchase on Carvana back in Late February. Car came from Jersey. Definitely has/had rust and lost of parts that have needed replacement because of it. Carvana's Silver Rock warranty was nothing short of Amazing in the first 3 months and /or 4k miles along with having a great indie advisor and mechanic.

I'm the first 5 months:
  • Brakes pads, rotors and Hi Temp flush
  • New Spark Plugs
  • Ceratech Oil Flush & Trans Flush
  • Liquid moly Fuel System Cleaner
  • New Windshield and Wipers
  • Complete AC replacement minus evaporator
  • Rear Tail light replacements as the originals were stressed crack like crazy
  • Headlight restoration - looked like someone used 80 grit sand paper and they were yellow badly - back to almost new
  • LED Headlights and Fog lights, and replaced all interior and license plate bulbs with LED
  • Ceramic Tint - 70% Windshield, 5% Front, rear, and back windows - Med Taillight Tint
  • Cayman R and Bilstein B8 struts and springs with replacement of all bushings and components
  • Replaced all Controls Arms (F&R), Drop Links, Tie Rods, sway bar bushings and more with Meyle HD and Febi
  • Hood and Trunk Shocks
  • Complete Stereo - Pioneer CarPlay Double Din, Hertz Millie 5 Amp, Zapco noise filter (damn engine/alt noise, never had this in my life), Custom Focal K2 3 Way Setup, Focal 4 inch rears, and Custom rear fitted 10 inch Rockford Sub, backup Camera, and Dynamat Lite the whole interior and trunk area
  • Circuit Works XPipe (glad I bought this back in March)
  • 7mm and 15mm wheels spacers
  • Cayman R Alignment
  • New Conti 245 front and 275 Rear Extreme contact Sport 02s

Last things to do: Headers, Exhaust, Shift Cables, Sport Steering Wheel and Softronic Tune

I'm interested in the "Zapco" - where it is connected to the system.. and what it is. I went through hoops with ignition noise on an auxiliary amplifier I added to the system, caused by the big cable from the alternator/starter/battery-cable junction up to the front. What has 99% fixed it was a $7 alternator capacitor mounted across that junction to ground. IF I could get rid of the 1% without losing any sound - I'd be interested in it.

And Welcome to Planet-9, the Friendly Porsche Forum (as you've possibly figured out..)
