Mods, please give me a bit of time before moving/deleting this, there are more eyeballs here than in wheels and tires thread. Once I get the answer, I will ask to delete this thread in 981 chat. THanks in advance!

I just spent 45 minutes with all user manuals and another 15 min in the car trying to hack it, to no avail. I also did 3 searches here and did not find the information. So, please, help if you know how.

I just changed tires to Michelin Pilot Sport 4S and car displays the message "All tires changed?" and is asking to reset TPMS to accept current pressures. Is there anyone on this forum who can tell me how to do this? Please assume that I'm slow witted and stupid. So, the more details on how to get to the menu option, the better. Thanks in advance!

Needless to say, I did not expect that from Porsche. Seriously? Trolling to get tires changed at the dealer? Wow.

In the TFT display, bring up tire pressures page. While stopped, press the right lower stalk forward/inward and select a different tire size or change type from winter to summer (or reverse) and then back. Pull stalk back towards you and there will be dashes for pressures. Drive the car and, in a bit (1000'), the new TPMS will be set and displayed.

Thank you all, guys, that definitely did the trick!

Chow, I've been to page 94, 112 and 224 but frankly, didn't see any reason to read how to tell the car that I switched to winter tire. I will restrain from commenting on the fact that you need to tell the car you put the winter tire when you have the usual summers in order to reset TPMS.

Thanks to all again. Chow, you can delete this thread if you want.

All I will say is that it is amazing how much you can learn by simply 'reading' the manual... ;)

Whenever I get a new car, I read it like a newspaper, scan through looking for changes and new items.

If I have a question about how something works it is the first place I go for the answer, most of the time it is right there in black and white!

I have 07 CS, replaced the tmps when I did a tire change. didn't change tire size so all the settings were reviewed but not changed, I just drove it away and it all reset itself in about 15 minutes. nice to have it working again as the batteries were dead for a bout 18 months. not sure how the newer cars work.

The newer cars rely on the same system as yours, just a different frequency run by a small battery that eventually fails like yours did.
