TPC looks like it makes a mean turbo for the CS.

Any owners I would love to hear from you as I am very interested!

Curious about pros/cons,etc.

Just want to hear from actual real-life Cayman Turbo owners! :)

The title of your thread is a very good eye catcher! At first I thought TPC was calling us to propose or vote on new names for a TPC Caymans.

Nevertheless, I'd like to reserve a spot in your thread for myself as the TPC 550hp turbo kit will be installed inshallah on my Cayman starting tomorrow. :burnout:

I see you are new here. the TPC turbo kit is enjoyed by many here, too many to mention, so search around, and enjoy. I just wish it could pass smog testing in California.

Heres some to start you off.

Thank you for the compliment

My car has been handed to the tuning shop last week. and God knows how much I miss driving her!! Seriously, it hurts...

The ECU has been shipped to TPC for remapping and inshallah it will be there before the end of the week. Three shipments of the turbo kit has made it to tuning center. Yet still waiting for the main shipment which is held for security clearance :( and it may take from one week to twenty days to get cleared .

Patience is not a virtue of mine... I can't wait to drive her back home. And trust I can't wait to document it in ink, pictures and video... I ordered the Hero Camera for that purpose! :D

And you bet you it's gonna be LOUD ! :burnout:

Hi Guys, I have just installed my TPC turbo kit here in Brazil and I´m getting turbo lag at 2600 RPM and the system is returning 4.2 psi of pressure and not 5.5 as expected. Are you guys facing the same issues? I am getting in touch with TPC guys aniway.

The torque curve is macthing very well! But still, the pressure is not ok and it is clear that it´s not at the 997TT pace. Installation double checked!
I´m waiting for Tom´s response, emailed him yesterday.

How about Harris County, Texas, owners? Does anyone know if the TPC turbo will pass the pollution inspections in this area?

In Harris County (Houston) the inspector places a sensor in the tailpipe. They don't open the hood. Most of the inspectors I have had wouldn't even know where to look for the Cayman's "carburetor".

I picked my Cayman S up last month (31 March 2010). Did the whole stage two package suspension and Turbo. I am not sure what is going on but I am sure I have lost a HUGE amount of power from the day I picked it up. Went to the track last weekend (24 & 25 April) and it died on me. I also blew 2 quarts of oil all over the track and all over the back of the car, motor, and transmission the last lap of the last session along with a huge oil cloud from the exhaust! I am not sure if any of it is Turbo (TPC) related. However, there is no doubt about the power loss. I am still trying to figure out what happened on all fronts. Not really getting any answers regarding why a 385 hp car walks off and leaves a supposed 550hp TPC Stage 2 modified Cayman S behind on a straight????????????

you would have no issue then.. is harris near austin or houston?
Harris County Texas includes Houston. Because of the oil and chemical industry and the attendant air pollution, Harris and the surrounding counties have stricter smog inspections than most or the rest of Texas. But it still involves just sticking a probe up the tailpipe and reading the meter. Any installs in this area? I'm very tempted.

Tim, I know that Mike and tom are working on your car. I know that you will get more answers talking with them than posting here. My guess is that it is the AOS... I spoke with tom and mike on this this morning and we are working on a solution.
