2023 Macan S - iPhone 12 - Up to date iOS. Apple CarPlay - I have 30 Playlists on my iPhone. When using a USB cable to the phone, CarPlay shows on the PCM screen. When I tap Playlists it only shows "Recently Played Playlists". Or if I tap on "Artists" it only shows "Recently Played Artists." I cannot scroll through all of my Playlists. Occasionally, if I stop, turn the car off, come back to the car minutes or hours later, it may show all 30 playlists. or maybe not, just the Recently Played. I was at the dealer and asked the GM, Service Manager, and a couple salesmen. None of them had any clue. There is no way to change a "setting" to prevent this in the Macan or on the iPhone. I have a 2022 Boxster GTS, of course with CarPlay and I do not have this same issue. It's annoying not to be able to scroll thru my Playlists to select. And I asked Siri to play one of the not shown artist (because it is not listed in the "Recently Played") and Siri says she cannot find that artist. Anyone have this issue and have a fix?

Solved this myself. engine off, but ignition key on > in PCM > scroll down icons in left vertical bar to "gear" Settings >. Go thru Settings menus until you find "Factory Settings" >. Reset Factory Settings - you'll lose your radio presents and iPhone Bluetooth connections etc. > Shut off ignition and start up the Macan - PCM is working fine now. BTW - I emailed 2 local Porsche dealers. Neither replied. Either they don't know what I discovered or they are just too damn busy to reply to a customer who bought a new Boxster GTS (from one) and a new Macan (from the other)

Glad you got it sorted. I’m sure dealers are inundated with emails but a simple “bring it in and we’ll be glad to take a look” canned response would be pretty easy, go a long way towards customer satisfaction, and possibly drive revenue …

Update - Had problems again with the Macan "finding" my iPhone 12 and Apple Music. I was using the USB-C to iPhone. Went back to dealer. They told me CarPlay should be set up to work on WiFi. The Service Advisor got in my car. Took my iPhone. Went in to iPhone settings and also the Macan PCM settings and was tapping away. He got everything working. So, ok, that solved my issue with connecting to CarPlay. But, I'm of the thought that when something is "hard wired" (plugged in) that should override WiFi. (I think this because I also have a 2022 Boxster GTS and once I connect it with the USB-C everything works perfectly with WiFi on the iPhone turned Off) So I told the Service Advisor that having WiFi on, all the time on the iPhone, uses a lot of battery life. He said, "well, just recharge it more often". And of course when I get out of the car, walking with my iPhone it tries to connect to every WiFi it finds. Who agrees that the hard connection should work and override everything else? And, a secondary issue with the PCM/CarPlay/Macan is that it wants to only show 11 "Recently Played Playlists" not all 30 of my Playlists that are on the iPhone. There is no way to scroll through ALL of my Playlists. But the Boxster always shows all of my Playlists.
