Have PSE and want to remain in control over your exhaust’s tone at the press of the PSE button? Perfect. We created the SwitchPath™ Exhaust for the Boxster and Cayman to do just that, for drivers just like you.

AWE Tuning 718 SwitchPath™ Exhaust

Valve closed for sophistication, valve open for aggression. Sport mode? Yes please, extra burbles. Equipped with a tuned muffler on the driver’s side and a valved straight section on the passenger’s side, the SwitchPath™ Exhaust’s soundtrack is pleasantly different dependent on its operating state. The Track Edition Exhaust is for those who like to rumble at all times. Featuring straight pipes on both the driver and passenger’s sides, there’s nothing standing in the way between the downpipe and the tips providing a completely unfiltered exhaust note.






This version is known to get rowdy in the mid range, and may be too much for many. For that reason, this particular version cannot be returned due to sound preference. Prepare yourself.

Don’t worry. If you’re looking to crank up a notch or bring it down, perfectly engineered upgrade paths are available. Turn a Touring Edition to a Track Edition, or vice versa.

My car won't have the Porsche Sport Exhaust, but the exhaust still gets louder/changes when you switch it between normal and sport mode.

If I got the track exhaust, does it retain this feature of a non PSE car? I'm not sure where exactly it's being controlled within the exhaust to adjust the volume. It's not just an interior opening for the cabin because you can definitely tell outside the vehicle as well.

Ordered my Track Exhaust with Black tips through TAG, hurry up AWE! :D
Please post videos! Before/after if possible for a direct comparison. A couple other questions for when you get it:

1) how's the drone during normal driving and highway speeds

2) does the track exhaust make a noticeable difference in the cabin as well, or is it much more noticeable outside only

Would be great to hear your thoughts on this! :)

i was quoted a 4 week wait by TAG, and after posting here, I get a tracking number for Thursday delivery. I'm not even out of 2k break in yet!

finished installing the awe track exhaust on my 718 cayman. wow, deep, rumble, awesome.

Looking and sounding great, Matt!

I really like that sound. It would be a bit loud for DD work (for me) but the tonality is great.

If you're looking to get equipped, I recommend the Touring or SwitchPath™ (which will give you the best of both worlds) based on your comments.

Can you confirm that switching between normal/sport still changes the exhaust just like the stock one?

Also, how is the drone at highway speed?

Those are my main 2 concerns about the exhaust. I've got until June for my car to arrive but I want to get one ASAP. Thanks for the great videos! Hope to see you post more since you seem to be the only person who actually has one so far :)

i have sport chrono, so "original" to sport to sport+ changes the tone of exhaust. no drone at highway speeds, nice little deepness to the setup to let you know its there, but nothing intrusive to overpower the stereo or a conversation you might be having.

car goes in for techart springs today, then at some point hopefully the michelin ps4s tires get here so i can put my HRE FF01's on.
