Sorry for asking such a noob question, but where exactly is the battery on the 981?

BEFORE someone jumps in and says RTM ....

Open your frunk. Then google "porsche imanual" or get the "good to know app".

Problem solved :)

This is a very common question. I do tech for SCCA autocross, one of things I have to do is check the battery is secure (and have failed cars when its not). Several Cayman owners were quite clueless about its location, before I became such an owner. Its still a total pain to get at, and put the bits back once you're done.

So can you get in that compartment easily just by pulling on the plastic handles? Or does it require some tools to get in there?

Yes use the two little grab handles on either side. Stand in front of B, lean in, grab and flex cover a little and it will release. Putting it back takes Dealer Service though :hilarious: so be mindful.

Sorry it is one of those days in burrrrrrrr CPA.
