Ok ill try and give every detail I can.

its a 98' manual trans and never really had any abnormal problems so far. until today that is......

I start it up, and pull it out of the garage runs about 20-30 seconds, then dies. I dont think much of it, turn the key to the off position, then start it again this time it dies two seconds later,I try about 5 times and that's all it does. I have my theory, but I want help/advice from the experts here. I didnt see any issues like this any where on the net so hopefully some one could help me, id greatly appreciate it!!!

Sounds like a fuel problem or intermittent ignition caused by a DME failure. Check out the fuel pump and fuel lines.

oh man.... I hope its not a fuel pump. but I did hear I weird noise the past two starts and this happened. has any one done a fuel pump on these, and maybe rate it on a scale of difficulty? im going to try and see if I can get it to run off starting fluid tonight, well see.

This will give you guys a good laugh :p

Ok well, the update, is got it started right away, and the gas level warning light came on? Very odd cause it wasn't on before it had this problem and it was on the 1/4 fuel line. So whatever I go fill it up and it takes 12.3 gallons. So it must've been pretty low, which means i don't think my gas gauge was working properly. But now it seems like it has a serious hesitation especially when its cold, it bogs down when i get into it a little. But only bogs in little 'spirts' so it goes through the RPM range but not like it should. I ordered a fuel filter. Hopefully that will fix the issue. They say to change it every 60k, and its probably about time.

BTW, how is Beck/Arnley stuff?

Had similar symptoms last year. Checked fuel pressure at fuel rail and it was good. Cleaned idle control valve, but still ran rough, backfired, no idle. Changed all spark plugs, no change. Finally had car towed to my indie shop, and they changed my MAF sensor. Expensive Lesson learned. I could have/should have done it myself and would have saved at least $200. Lack of confidence is not cheap. MAF sensor can be the quickest and cheapest fix for problems like your car is having.
