I just upgraded to Performance Friction 08 pads for track season and my mechanic cannot figure out a way to turn off the brake warning light in the car (since the pads are not designed to work with a sensor). Does anyone know of a way to trick or override the sensor so the light goes off?

The light comes on when the circuit is broken. Do you have the old sensors? and are they intact? If so leave them connected to the hub but wrap some tape around the end that normally plugs into the pad and then zip tie the sensor cables so they are out of the way. That's what I did.

The "trick" is to do a forum search or find a mechanic with experience with Porsches. Been discussed many times. Cut the sensor wires and splice them together. They're not positive so no worries about shorts to ground. Done.
