It doesn't take twice as long to brake from 80 than 60 on modern cars. At least on asphalt. If you don't believe me, look it up. Averages are 115 and 195, respectively. Sports cars do better due to stickier tires.
Well, we live in a fake fact world now, so since you 'just' missed by 30%+, you get a pass then. Ha ha. The engineer in me doesn't like hyperbole, but better get used to that. Ha ha.
