Nitrous can be installed on any car or motorcycle if you know what you are doing. Will it exponentially shorten the life of the motor? Yep. Maybe just a couple of 1/8 mile passes and you are done.
Just like the car in Fast and Furious.

On a stock vehicle: One trip down the track at most before oily pieces erupt from the case. Nitomethane is an option, too!
2.7L engines are cheap on eb*y.
Seriously, the cars on TV have cast iron blocks or liners, heavy duty rotating parts. They don't have DFI related issues, either port injected or carburated.
