Anyone find the seat settings not staying where you set them?
I have followed the manual, msetting the seats, steering wheel, mirrors and stereo where I want, used the memory settings and they are never in the right place. The manual says the seats/mirrors will stay in the same place as the last settings when you unlock the door with the same key, but they always seem to move.
Anyone else seem to have a problem with the memory settings?

Yes, it is truly maddening... next time it is at the dealership they will need to address, I am tired of pressing the 2 button when I was not the last driver on a $90k vehicle.

"2" at least knows me and puts everything right where I want it.

btw... PCM will not show below 12.0 MPG, I am going to see if they can address that too for when towing.

Couldnt agree more. There a supposedly only one way to make the Cayenne remember a setting: store the Seat Memory, and press lock on the remote... *irrespective of Easy Entry locking/unlocking)
Seems to work most of the time, but it remains unpredictable. My auto adjust (comfort setting) when you enter the door doesnt always work, so I have to recall the seat memory setting to move the seat to the right position.. What is more annoying is when I get in the car and it automatically reverts to my wife's seat memory setting which crushes me against the steering wheel. (she is one foot shorter than me). Also PCM settings, Vehicle display setting, Radio channels, volume, door lockign, airco settings, - it sometimes seems to have a mind of its own!
But I still love how it drives!

And last night a the gas station the fuel cover didnt open and stayed locked. My wife wa in the car. Asked her to press the central lock switch, no efec. Asked her to turn engine off, no effect. Asked her to loose the seatbelt, no effect, asked her to step out, no effect. Pressed open on the remote, no effect. Pressed lock, pressed open, and the lid popped open.... The cayenne has a mind of its own... But i still love it...

I agree the seat, radio, sound, etc. settings are a little unpredictable. This is what I have done to help some:
Start the engine and adjust everything how you like it (seat, steering wheel, radio, etc. etc).

While stationary, press the set then 3 (key) button on the door. I also press the set and 1 or 2 button to save as a backup. Not sure if it will save things correctly if you are driving down the road. Shut off the car and then lock with the remote key. This usually saves everything for when you get back in.

As far as the comfort entry...if you unlock with a different remote than was used last, you should notice the seat moving to the comfort position once you open the door. Get in and place the key into the ignition. You should then notice the seat moving to your saved position. IF you start the engine, seat movement will be interrupted! You will then have to push 1 or 2 to complete. After the seat stops, then start the engine. You will then notice the steering wheel moving to the saved position.

I know, I know. Way to much detail but it does seem to work this way. My F150 just works like it should without all this fuss, but yet I would still prefer to drive the Cayenne.

Radio, PCM, sound functions seem to save better this way too, but I still sometimes have to reset the sound (bass, treble, surround, autopilot) at random. This is frustrating, I agree.

Hope this helps a little.

This is an old thread, but, if you set all three positing settings to the same position, your seat won't move. Or, if you set the first position to a good egress position, that isn't too far from your desired setting, you won't have to wait long when you press position 2 or 3, to get back to your driving position.
