Can anyone identify the location where the Porsche homepage picture was taken (with the Cayenne Turbo S in the foreground)? It is bugging me...looks familiar but I cannot place it.
Donnu were that is, but isn't Turbo S wrong? It is either an S or a Turbo, that is all the model descriptions they have when you click on Cayenne, hmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmm.....
If you click through to the Web Special on the Cayenne Turbo S, they have indeed revived that model designation. There's not a ton of detail, other than 550HP and 550 ft lb of torque. That would make it the most powerful Porsche engine in production today, I believe.
There was an off white Cayenne Turbo S going through town the other day. I'm guessing the owner just added the "S" to his logo? Out of state dealer plates of some kind.
Nope. Porsche actually marketed a Turbo S Cayenne a couple of years ago (2005 and 2006 model, if I recall.) They slightly tweaked the turbos and ECU in the Cayenne Turbo to produce 500hp. Seems they are at it again.

PS I'll approve you if you join the Zone 9 group....
Porsche does warm weather testing in AZ and NM. When I attended Bondurant in 2002, I was on one of the freeways on my way back to my hotel, and came upon a Cayenne S test mule.
