Looking to buy either a Cayman or Cayman S and was trying to figure out what years are safe from IMS failure. Am I correct in thinking the M97 motor is a safe bet?

If you want "Low incidence" of IMS failure go '06 to '08 Cayman or Boxster.
If you want "ZERO" chance of IMS failure go '09 to present model Cayman/ Boxster.
