I changed my front brake pads the other day my self.. about 6 hours later my Right rear brake light stops working.. is that a coincidence? also does the dealer cover that (im still under warranty)

Probably it is just a coincidence.

But without seeing a wiring diagram, I wouldn't know for certain. Generally, brake light operation is controlled from a switch that is activated by brake pressure or pedal movement. However, with ABS, one never can be sure what signal drives what without a schematic.

A simple call to the dealership may put your mind at ease.

I would just replace the bulb, and consider it fixed, if all else appears fine.
