Cool Shirt Users/Install???

Just in the few Spring events I have done here in the midwest, it has been crazy hot with all the gear on. Looking at possibly adding a Cool Shirt System to my R, and had a couple questions for those of you that have done it.
Thinking about adding the 13q system to the front trunk. For those of you that have placed it there, where did you end up going thru the firewall?
Also, for the controller, I was thinking of removing the radio and placing it there. Any issues when removing the headunit completely from the car? Codes, etc?
Thanks guys!!!

Taking out the head unit will throw a code but you can disable that using a Porsche PIWIS machine at a dealer.

Maybe true for PCM, but CDR units aren't that closely integrated. Otherwise all aftermarket headunits would have this issue. Only thing visible was that the Audio stuff (station or MP3 tags) no longer show-up in the center display.

I have purchased and am installing a chiller for cooled shirts - I got the system and shirt from chillout systems - I've made a bracket that holds the chiller in front of the front seat, so that I can remove it when not racing and have a regular looking car. car is a 718 GTS. I haven't yet decided where to connect the power leads, I don't want them permanent either, so I suppose some time spent with the schematics could be good. the unit peaks at 45 amps, but is supposed to draw 18-22 amps, Quantum Cooler Version 2 I got that instead of the things with an ice chest for several reasons, the main one being that I don't see ice being commonly available at the tracks.
