Craig, Porsche changed pad design for 2007 and 2008 Cayman S. Have you verified if you have pads that fit? This will most likely not be a pad that fits 2006 cars.

The calipers are the same and the Pagid pads fit the 2007 cars perfect, you just need to make sure you buy the spring kit (pin, spring, key) for the old style (996 PN).

Call Aaron at Suncoast for help with this.

Krok... thank you. Exactly what I did last night. I assumed that really the retaining spring is only different.

Though, it would be nice to get updated aftermarket pads as Porsche claims that the new 997 setup is "better". Something about aligning pads better.

Just came across this post -

They are indeed the same *pads* - 2405/2406 F&R as on all base 996, Cayman and Boxster S.
