Dempsey is a competent driver, he's not the greatest talent, but considering its his second job, not bad at all. I find it interesting he left Mazda to join Porsche, obviously it worked out. The rotary was on its way out.
I'm not into conspiracies, but the fact the the GX was cobbled together so hap hazardly, it favors "green" technology, it has almost zero p.r., except for the flunkies on Speed Channel blabbing how well Mazda is doing while disregarding the Cayman's past victories, the cancellation of the rotary left Mazda out in the rain, but its sponsorship dollars means it needed a place to "develop" it's Skyactiv technology, whatever that might be, if you look at their ads I think only their marketing department knows. Given the b.s. that floats around the Rolex series, it wouldn't surprise me. This is why BGB is to be commended, they're fighting a factory effort, while being ignored by the sanctioning body.
