I took my Cayman S in to the dealer today for new tires and they threw me the keys to a new Cayenne S for a test drive. I love the tight handling of the Cayenne. I am glad I had my CS to drive home instead of my Range Rover. The RR feels like it has a marshmallow suspension system compared to the Cayenne. I love my RR and would not trade it but when it is time to replace it, I may get a Cayenne S or even a GTS. The only issue is my SUV's have to pull a 7,000 lbs boat and I don't think the GTS can do that but the Cayenne will.

You do know there is a new version of the Cayenne coming out this summer right? If you sit tight for a few more months, you may be able to get a good deal on the current leftovers.

Nothing tows more or better than a Cayenne Turbo. :dance:

CT has the highest towing capacity in its class. While individual components are marked "8,000 LBS," the system capacity is 7,700.

And the air suspension is wonderful.

Thanks Pete. I am not in the market for another year. I plan to buy used anyway when I do, because the value on Cayennes drops so fast.

GTS has the same 7700lbs tow rating.

The RR definetly coddles whereas the GTS is for hooligans. I borrow my wife's RR alot.

When the lease is up I am going to replace it with a used RR '07-'09/new LR4 and a pre-owned '09+ Cayman. Really miss my Cayman.

Is PDCC a must have option for the Cayenne?

Good question. I really like the PDCC on the road and for off-roading. It corners very flat; and even with 18" all-terrains, it has tremendous grip. With the OE 21" wheels\tires, my GTS is faster through high-speed turns (70mph+) than my Cayman. Nowhere near as involving - however.

Off-road there is very little "axle-binding" and really good wheel articulation, and the PDCC does a good job of keeping the tires in contact with the ground.

So for the average Soccer mom - no.

For you, me, and everyone reading this - yes.
