I am feeding my 16 year old's track day passion while saving for his college. (face palm)

We have track day only OEM 18" wheels needing track day tires.

We run 5-7 sessions per track day.

We are running aggressive camber with
FRONT -2.2 to 2.3 Camber + Toe 0
REAR -2.0 -2.1 + Toe 1-2mm

Target tire size has been:
Front Tire: 245/40ZR18
Rear Tire: 265/40ZR18

It seems our best choices are between:
Nitto NT01
Nankang AR-1
Toyo R888R

I am a bit confused on what track day tire will give us longevity (economy) while better traction and heat cycle than our street Michelin Pilot Sport 4 S tires.

But I am also seeing that I will only get about 10-15 sessions longevity for roughly $250/per tire cost? Just my reality?

Thanks in advance for your experienced advice.

NT01 all day long. Have run R888 but Nittos still win. No experience with Nanking
You should run 275 in the rear, there is not fitment issue

I run Nitto NT01 245-275/R18 on stock 987 rims on my 981. From my experience, your longevity may not really improve much (or might actually go down), but the grip is outstanding.

You'll need to upgrade your brake pads if you go to this tire because the OEM pads will die an early death with the enhanced grip. I have a partially used set of PFC 08's for sale (981 fitment) at a significantly reduced price if you want to try them. For my driving style, I prefer the Pagid RSL-29/RS-14.
