I have an early 981 BS and last weekend there was a heavy downpour and due to some mystically blocked drainage pipes (an issue I've now sorted) Underneath the passenger seat became soaked. As there is a bunch of electronics under there I started getting some issues:

- The stop start came up with a fault

- a faint buzzing / alarm sound behind the dashboard for about 3 secs that only happened on inserting the key into the ignition and when slowing down in traffic.

Once I fixed the drainage issue and used a dehumidifier to absorb the vast majority of the moisture the start stop issue resolved itself. The buzzing issue however remains. I've had a good long search but not seen anyone else have this issue. OBDII reader comes up with a parking sensor fault (although they seem to be working) but that's it.

Any ideas greatly appreciated.
