Exhaust changes from Gen 1 to Gen 2

Gen I and II exhausts are not interchangeable.

The systems are different in the way that they mount up to the engine is different and the headers/mounting points are different between Gen 1 and Gen 2. With some systems you can "make" them fit with some customization, cutting, etc. but I think you'd be better off getting a system designed for the appropriate generation car.

Thank you both for your replies. I also heard back from Greg at Stratmosphere yesterday. He said the old Milltek systems won't work on the DFI cars because the "bracketry" is different. He said Milltek will be coming out with an exhaust for the new cars soon.

I have a Milltek cat back that I have been very happy with. I guess I'll just have to find a Gen 1 owner that wants to buy it.
