Hey all, we're a new sponsor here but wanted to share the progress we made on our Project 981 Cayman.

We recently picked up a 981 base 2.7L Cayman, manual w/ 5K miles. We're doing a build series on our YouTube channel (https://www.youtube.com/channel/UCzk71VTbFthir9nw0jjpyMw), so feel free to follow along. We're also planning on posting some of our progress here as well as our Blog (https://flat6motorsports.com/blogs/news). We'll feature install guides, dyno tests, and impressions along the way!

Here's a list of what we have installed to date:
- LED Clear Side Markers
- Raceseng Competition Shift Knob
- Cobb Accessport
- aFe Air Filters
- IPD Plenum w/ GT3 TB
- Agency Power 200 Cell Headers
- Soul Performance Valved Cat-Back
- GTS Taillights
- JRZ RS2 Touring Coilovers

Coming Soon:
- TWL Carbon Fiber Diffuser
- NR Auto GT4 Front Bumper
- Wheels / Tires
- 991 PCCB Calipers / Steel Rotors
- Numeric Racing Short Shifter + Cables

If you want to look ahead and catch-up, here is a listing of the progress.

Very cool site/vids! Any specific reason you chose the 2.7 vs 3.4?

How are you going to use it?
Mostly street for now, but over time more track oriented. It will see it's first track day next week. Probably 5-6 HPDE's/yr.

Thanks! No real strong reason. I actually liked the sound of the 2.7L better and it's HP/Liter ratio from the factory was interesting. Thought it might be fun to have to "work" for it a bit more in terms of driving with the lack of low-end torque. Down the road, we may do a 3.8 swap, so cost was also a factor. I wanted to see if we could make a 981 base model as quick as a 987.1 Cayman S. We're pretty close there!

Cool project! It would be awesome if you guys could help provide some additional data points by separating the intake modifications from the exhaust modifications with a new pro tune and dyno run following the headers exhaust and then again after the filters and plenum/TB are added. This way its possible to better see the real world contributions of each rather than all at once

Dude! If I had 100 thumbs they would all be pointing up. I have a 2.7 manual so this really appeals to me!

Great project

Unfortunately, we don't have a dyno in-house and have to rent time so hard to go make runs with each modification. We'll provide as much information as we have.

Quick question I have - why are you using the Agency Power headers and not the Soul PP street headers?
We had a few in-stock so just went with the AP headers. They have a smaller catalyst so sort of between a catelss and larger 200 cell header.
