I'm going to make a wild guess that most of us thoroughly enjoy wheeled vehicles, particularly our P cars, but I strongly recommend "Go Like Hell" by A. J. Baime.

It is a well written story about the battle between Ford and Ferrari for the top podium spot at Le Mans in the mid 1960's. Equally entertaining is the review of the book in this morning's Wall Street Journal.

Happy reading!

I'll second that. It's a great read. I'd never heard the story of the end of the '66 24 hours of Le Mans before. One of the best motorsports books I've ever read. It's very well researched and well written.

I'm about 2/3rd through it now. A fun summer read.

Did anyone note the footnote on page 175 - it says Mario Andretti has a 3rd son Marco..... . I think we need to see what Michael's wife has to say about that!!!!!!!!!!!

Also pick up PJ O'Rourke's Driving Like Crazy for some car humor!

Yeah, I saw that, too. Considering how well researched and edited the book was, I am surprised that one made it through.
