Looking for pictures of the stock 17 wheels painted grey, gunmetal, or black mounted on a car. Everything I have found in the search has broken links. Curious to see what it would look like.

Not stock 17"s but Boxster S 18"s that are grey and can give some idea of the color on the car I think. These are plastidipped and it seems like a pretty good job. I bought the car with the wheels dipped already.

Quoted from the paperwork he gave me "3 coats black, 2 coats grey, 2 coats pearlizer, 2 coats black, 3 coats anthracite grey, 1 coat glossifier". Seemed extreme to me, but the finish on them is quite nice. I plastidipped winter wheels before and these wheels have a much nicer finish.

Thank you for the information! Wheels look really great! Did not even consider plasti-dip, but it looks like it may be a great solution for a set of winter wheels. Not expensive, and not permanent. From what I read they should be able to make it through a winter season in good condition. Very nice.
