How to read overrev report?

Generally, range 4 or higher is where you start worrying. However, the overrevs in this range were both a long time ago and limited in time, so I'd say there's not much risk of issues from this report.

For reference, I had some range 6 on my car, but they were 800 hours prior, so people said to not worry about it. My car has been running great for 3 years now... knock on wood!

Overrev report is easy to read. Basically, you only have 263 ignitions in range 1, and the last one happened at 2838h of the engine life. There is a value somewhere else that tells you what the current time (age) is... and you use that to compare with the above time to know how long ago that was, approximately.

If you had higher ranges, there would be more to dive into, but range 1 is basically when you just approach or bounce off the rev limiter. In other words, it's not a big deal to have those, so don't worry about them. The rest of yours are 0, so it's never gone past that.

Is this a manual trans car? If so, it wasn't "money-shifted" ever (ie, downshifted with too much speed for the gear). A PDK may show numbers like this as well, since it will never allow a "money shift".

In the end, nothing to worry about here.

When I bought my car, it had like 61 ignitions in range 6. But they were over 800 hours before I saw the car, and it ran great and the PPI showed it was great as well. So, just because you have higher items doesn't NECESSARILY mean that the car is toast. It only takes one money-shift to do that, after all.

My car now has another 30k miles on it, and is still running great. No oil consumption either.

IMO the only reason the overrev report would be a problem is if you sell the car. Honestly, this is my favorite car EVER. I have NO desire to sell it, so I don't care what my overrev shows, nor have I bothered with PPF... I plan to keep this car forever!

Agreed, 1 ignition at 48.3h... probably an error blip more than anything else.

My car had real values at range 6 when I bought it, and it has been running great for the past few years without issue... I wouldn't worry about it.
