I got a crack in my exhaust manifold where the pipes join to enter the cat during an HPDE. Attentive corner workers could tell there was was something going on by the change in sound and black-flagged me. It was the last session of the day, so I'm not sure if they would have let me continue driving with it.
Had another guy have his crack at the same joint, but in a worse location, I believe the same weekend. It melted a coil and the ignition wires and his car died on the track. He had to have it towed. I'm sure it was not cheap to replace that wiring harness.
