Hi guys, they are selling me a set of HRE P40 19 x 8.5 and 19 x 11 for a really GOOD price. I used the search button but I'm looking for a more specific answer. I will like to know if they fit properly with no problems or what else do I need to do. I will use 245's at front and 285's at rear for tires. Please help me as soon as you can so he don't sell them to someone else.

Thanks,
Ricky

They, you mean HRE?

What are the offsets "they" are telling you the wheels are. Without that info I can not tell you if they will work. 8.5 and 11.0 do fit, but the offsets needs to be correct.

Cheers
They I'm refering at a wheels store here in Puerto Rico. I called the guy and told me that the rear offset is 42.

Btw which color do you recomend me. Brushed or Matte black. Does are the ones he has there.

Thanks

For starters, what color is your vehicle and are there any other modifications to the vehicle, primarily the exterior?

The offset is critical. I have HRE P40s on my C2S Cab. They were originally designed for the Turbo and C4 997s w/ specific offsets for those widebody cars. The narrow body offset was not even available initially. Cayman and Boxster fitments are typically custom ordered and not typically stocked. I had to special order my narrow body P40s from Wheel Enhancement. If you are buying P40s that were designed for the 987 that's fine, but trying to fit 911 offsets onto the Cayman or Boxster, particularly P40s which HRE brings right to the fender, will bring the wheel way beyond the fender and may also rub the suspension.

Well I talked to him and he explained me everything and told me that the wheels comes for the cayman and that this is not the first one he have done. He explained me everything of the offset and told me that 40 or 42 are the best ones and that they fitted perfectly. I ask you guys because I know that a salesman do anything to sell something and you can also help mecmake the best decition since you own this car too. Thanks a lot.

We spec our 11 inch wheels for a cayman at ET38. A 42 will work, the worst case being you neeed to install a thin spacer, 4-5mm, if the tire rubs on the strut. The spacers are readily available and cause no issue to run.

Cheers
