Does this apply to most generations of watercooled Porsches? Mine is a bit of an odd duck - the 987.2 cayman base.

Curious to hear what kind of features you’re looking for — service-only, or something more advanced?

Service only would be fine (although frustratingly expensive for such a simple task). I’ve had bad luck with scanners. A Foxwell 530 irreversibly disabled some functionality that could only be enabled by Porsche dealer, and then an icarsoft porv2 just simply didn’t do the service reset.

So I’m currently without a tool. I would like to be able to do some troubleshooting and functional testing, too

How about POR V4.0?

I just ordered one, and when asking about features, the icarsoft support just pointed me to the POR V3 feature set, so I don’t expect many differences.
